Paralegal (Part-Time)

Babister Legal is looking to add another member to our team! If you are a current university student studying law, or simply looking for a career in the legal field – this is the position for you.

We are especially looking for someone who is a team player with excellent communication skills. As we operate as a smaller law firm you will be challenged with many and varied tasks, a can-do attitude is essential, and a willingness to get things done!

You will be exposed to many and varied matters with an opportunity to grow your own skills in a supportive and encouraging team environment. A typical day is varied, requiring attention to detail, an ability to work independently and remain accountable to the BL team. We value working together as a team and require someone that has a desire to contribute to the growing firm and also grow themselves.

Our new team member will…

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Have a willingness to get involved, continue their own personal development, and grow.
  • Have a collaborative and team approach.
  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills and an ability to prioritise tasks for maximum results.
  • Pay attention to detail and be able to manage large volumes of documents.
  • Have an ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.

Some of the tasks you will be required to undertake are:

  • Office administration.
  • Assisting the solicitors as necessary, including research, preparation of disclosure and brief materials.
  • General administration including billing.
  • Opening of new files and archiving.
  • Liaising with clients and third parties as necessary.

Previous experience in an office environment is valued, but not essential. This role is ideally suited for someone wishing to grow in their career and work in the legal industry.

Office Administrator –

Junior (Part-Time)

Babister Legal is looking for an Office Junior to assist our growing team. If you are a recent High School graduate, or current university student, this role may be the one for you!

We are looking for a team member with an attention to detail and a willingness to learn. This role will present you with many opportunities to grow while assisting our office manager and solicitors.

Our new team member will…

  • Pay attention to detail.
  • Have an ability to work independently and without supervision.
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Be organised.
  • Have a willingness to get involved, continue their own personal development, and grow.
  • Have a collaborative and team approach.

Some of the tasks you will be required to undertake:

  • Office Maintenance.
  • General office administration and documentation.
  • Archiving files and scanning materials.
  • General emails and client correspondence.
  • Filing and photocopying.
  • Answering phones and liaising with clients as necessary.

Previous experience in an office is beneficial but not essential. This role is ideally suited for someone wishing to begin their career and gain valuable experience in an office environment.
